These are the abandoned cemetery and torii (torii gate).
I remember that a man named Yoji Kurata used to conduct eco-tours in Angaur and maintain the cemetery. The project was terminated in 2006. And the cemetery and ⛩ in Angaur were left abandoned? Yoji Kurata passed away in 2019.
Now, a Chinese Triad and a US military radar base have been established in Angaur, where the Japanese have abandoned it. Ms. Anson asked me to come and clean up the cemetery.
I said, "Originally, Shintoism has no provision for foreign countries to build torii gates. It is a foolish act of prewar warlords and Shinto yakuza. Maybe the people of Angaur don't want it?" I asked.
I was surprised by her reply, "The people of Angaur love Japan, so it is good that they have it."
The Shinto Yakuza, Unification Church, gangs, Triads, etc., are all over Palau. It is obvious that if left alone, we will fall into the hands of these criminals.

２8回目のパラオ独立記念日にアンガウルに滞在していた、ボスにして友人のジェニファー・アンソン女史から大量の写真が送られてきた。（アンガウルブロードバンドあるんですよ。個人的にはこっちの方が関心があります）
見捨てられたアンガウルの墓地と鳥居である。
以前、倉田洋二さんという方がアンガウルのエコツアーや墓地の整備をされていた記憶がある。海の環境NPO法人にその軌跡があった。2006年で事業は終了している。そしてアンガウルには墓地と⛩が見捨てられたまま、になっていたのか？倉田洋二さんは2019年に亡くなられている。

さて、日本人が見捨てたアンガウルには中国の三合会と米国軍のレーダー基地ができている。アンソン女史から墓地の清掃をしに来てほしいと。
私が「本来神道は鳥居を外国の建てるなんて制度はない。戦前の軍閥、神道ヤクザの愚行。アンガウルの人々はいらないのでは？」と聞いたら
「アンガウルの人は日本が大好きだからあってよい。」との意外な返事であった。
神道ヤクザ、統一教会、暴力団、三合会等々がパラオで跋扈しているのだ。放っておけばこれらの魑魅魍魎の手に落ちるのは目に見えてる。
